New company new radio station

I wonder if he’s trying to cover Beaumont Tx or cover Galveston? Why do they start an FM and close it? I remember they had 107.1 close to Brookshire, Then 107.3, then 88.5 Cielo Fm, 97.3 Latino sports.

Speaking of translators, what would another owner do if they purchased 104.5 and 105.3? Would any of the big companies like IHeart, AUDACY ect be interested in owning these translators. And if they did would the current formats stay? I think Power FM would probably stay but with a whole different approach. I don’t see them keeping La Caliente as it is.

If they were interested in these translators I sure hope they wouldn’t check the current signal. Cause if they did they would be disappointed when they run them legally.

"Cattle Radio 89.9"
The proposed signal will be directional to the south, which means it will cover a lot of nothing expect for the town of High Island. Perhaps they are hoping for rimshot coverage of Galveston. Any suppressed signal heading to Houston will get hit by the KPFT IBOC sideband.

This will likely complete the new trifecta of Spanish language religious stations serving Chambers County, along with the new 90.7 in Anahuac and the revived 101.5 at Crystal Beach.

If the station is run like his translators, the station will DEFINITELY make it into Galveston.

Where do they get all this money? Or are new FCC applications so cheap it's nothing?

Church. Lots of churches use untaxed dollars to buy these stations for their cause.

But sometimes, some pastors could end up translating all of this into personal wealth. And in some rare instances, the stations and other properties can even end up in the middle of a nasty divorce. That means that the church's belonging are split by the pastor and his/her former spouse all while the congregation is left with nothing but more empty promises. And to no one's surprise, the congregation falls for it again and again and again.

Now of course, this is all a hypothetical scenario that has probably never happened!
