CC should try some progressive talk on KXIC 800 in liberal Iowa City, and
it also covers CR during the day.
CC won't do anything on the new FM to hurt one of their existing FMs, which leaves out anything hot AC or clasic rock. I would guess they might try country, maybe like they're doing on their 2nd country statio in Omaha, not exactly classic country but more oldies, imaging aimed more at guys.
CC tried their very light AC "Sunny" format in Des Moines a few years ago and that didn't seem to work, so they probably won't do that, although it would hurt KMRY more than it would WMT-FM. Smooth Jazz didn't last too long in Des Moines either, so that's probably out.
