Atlanta is home to the Tyler Perry Studios, good chance it might be filmed there. And Georgia is a state that offers significant tax breaks and incentives for movie/TV productions.
"Dynasty" was set in Denver."Dynasty", though a nighttime soap, was set in and around Atlanta"
The John Forsythe version. More recently there was a version with Elizabeth Gillies, with Grant Show as Blake."Dynasty" was set in Denver.

I forgot about the reboot. The 1980s Dynasty was a real decade-defining soap. The John Forsythe version. More recently there was a version with Elizabeth Gillies, with Grant Show as Blake.
But that was when Daytime Television was ON THE RISE !! It's A TOTALLY DIFFERENT WORLD we live in todayThey were all 15 minutes in the early days. CBS soaps in the mid-1950s, including Search for Tomorrow and The Secret Storm - all 15 minutes long. SfT and Guiding Light were still 15 minutes long until 1968!
On a serious note, an LGBTQIA-themed Soap Opera might not be a bad idea to try (But not on OTA TV though)I was hoping for "Gays of Our Lives".
"Dynasty", though a nighttime soap, was set in and around Atlanta.
Try DENVERBut not filmed in Atlanta. This new soap is actually set in the DC/MD area but being produced in Atlanta area.
Try "Neighbours" on Freevee. It's very gay. It's on broadcast TV Australia, but it mostly marketed to Great Britain. On a serious note, an LGBTQIA-themed Soap Opera might not be a bad idea to try (But not on OTA TV though)
Dynasty's Wednesday night airing turned into a big theme party night at many gay bars in the 80's Shown on a big screen with lots of silly camp from the audience (i.e. contest on number of times Joan Collins changed outfits that episode). On a serious note, an LGBTQIA-themed Soap Opera might not be a bad idea to try (But not on OTA TV though)
And also about the same as the original version of Dynasty, which had a gay character from its very first episode in 1981:The Elizabeth Gillies version of "Dynasty" didn't have enough gay characters to be an LGBTQ soap, but one pretty girl was bi (and had a girlfriend) and one of their best characters was gay. His husband was also gay but got dropped from the show, and he went on to have other relationships.
That's actually pretty typical for prime time these days.

"As the gate opens"I mean...at least it's not "The Fence and the Gates" in keeping with CBS soap conventions.![]()
