The softer AC format would be the modern easy listening station that could work here...much like The Dove - WDUV in Tampa or Grand Rapid's The River. At least I would definitely program that type of station with all the retirement money here.

Yet another change for WCTU. It hasn't been that long, but they've only been at 105.9 for a few years. Some of you might remember (and some of you might not) that 'CTU was at 94.1. Then came the three way between 'CTU, WMXK in Morristown and WRZK in Colonial Heights/Kingsport. WMXK (the old K96fm where I worked) became Magic 94.1, and now I think they're playing Spanish...'RZK (K-Rock) went to 95.9 and 'CTU is now at 105.9.

Asheville does need another signal, and a good one. I like Kiss and the Light over here in Tennessee, but there needs to be more variety. Let's hope the format wheel hits a good spot.

Saga owns an active rock station in Springfield, MA with the 'Lazer' name.

Thay also own a classic rock in the same market too.
