New HD country station

That's "Country Road". Not really anything new. It was on for a long time and then went away for about a month. Now it's back.

New country music station at 106.7 WLTW FM HD2 ..

I think it just got turned on yesterday.

The sister station WALK FM LI...has had country hd for the past year if not longer.

There are two things I find strange about the current version of New York Country/Country Road on WLTW HD2, returning to the air after a 4 month absence:
The syndicated Big D and Bubba morning show now only runs for one hour, between 9 and 10 AM. What is the point of carrying only one hour out of a 4 hour morning show? Is it to perhaps save money, yet be able to tell potential advertisers that the show is cleared in New York?
WLTW's HD has been shutting down (or maybe cutting back power) nightly around 10:30 pm. Naturally the result is that New York Country is off the air overnight. Is there perhaps maintenance work going on at the Empire State Building antenna?
On the positive side, I do believe that WLTW HD2 is running significantly more power than in the past. I've been listening to it all over the metro area, and have experienced very few dropouts. The signal has been surprisingly solid.

The audio quality of WLTW HD2 sounds terrible. The music is very flat. I think I read they are broadcasting in mono.
I checked the source, Country Road, on IHeartRadio. It is also in mono (or perhaps a rather narrow stereo at best).
But WLTW HD2 sounds fabulous compared with the scratchy audio I pull in from the relatively distant country stations in the outlying areas, such as WJVC, WKMK and WDBY. And there are many places in the Metro area where I cannot receive any of those three.
I continue to be impressed with the reliability of WLTW HD2's signal, now that it is back on the air. Having listened to HD radio for years, the improvement is readily noticeable.
