There are two things I find strange about the current version of New York Country/Country Road on WLTW HD2, returning to the air after a 4 month absence:
The syndicated Big D and Bubba morning show now only runs for one hour, between 9 and 10 AM. What is the point of carrying only one hour out of a 4 hour morning show? Is it to perhaps save money, yet be able to tell potential advertisers that the show is cleared in New York?
WLTW's HD has been shutting down (or maybe cutting back power) nightly around 10:30 pm. Naturally the result is that New York Country is off the air overnight. Is there perhaps maintenance work going on at the Empire State Building antenna?
On the positive side, I do believe that WLTW HD2 is running significantly more power than in the past. I've been listening to it all over the metro area, and have experienced very few dropouts. The signal has been surprisingly solid.
