This surprises me, as I've learned that Joe Buck is a pretty polarizing personality. People either seem to love him or loathe him. I thought he was just a big bag of okay on J! but did better than I was expecting.

I wasn't impressed Bialik or LeVar. Honestly the best candidate in my opinion was David Faber. I didn't know who he was going into this but he was the most classy, composed choice of all the guests. He reminded most of Trebek during his latter days, but that doesn't seem to be what the show was shooting for in a permanent replacement.

We didn't know it, but what the show was shooting for...was its foot! I'd agree, of all the guest hosts, David Faber seemed to be the smoothest.

But there are a lot of people who don’t give a rat’s rear end about sports and couldn’t tell you who Joe Buck is going f you paid them.

Mike Richards has been ousted from his position of Executive Producer at both Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. My guess is it's a combination of his past comments which have come back to haunt him, but also the fiasco he created when he blindsided so many by appointing himself the host. That really didn't sit well with a lot of fans.

As far as the way forward in the immediate, this article from The Wrap provides some clarity:
Richards taped five episodes which will all air.

For now, the long-running game show will go back to the guest-host model with Mayim Bialik (who was named the host of the game show’s primetime specials and spinoffs) taping for the next three weeks worth of episodes.

I didn't realize it until today because of working but Matt Amodio, the recent big winner, was defeated on Monday after winning 38 games and just over $1.5 million dollars.

I watched that live, and I think Jonathan Fisher was shocked as nothing else, meanwhile you could see Matt feeling dejected, but he's such a good sport.
