New Jersey 101.5 Afternoon Show

??? Uh, they have almost doubled these numbers in the past two years and rank 1 25-54. Look it up.

INTERESTING DEVELOPMENT........

Deminski and doyle are by no means safe. But it appears that Tommy G may be coming back to New Jersey 101.5 to do mornings. Conversations have already happened about both time slots. It looks like Jim Gearheart is going to be pushed out the door later this year.

Personally I'd rather hear Tommy in the afternoon but Ill take him in the mornings!!!!

If nothing else it looks like there is going to be a big shake up at New Jersey 101.5.

No, same old wishful thinking.

Does Tommy pay you to do publicity for him?

Negotiations NOT going well with Deminski and Doyle. They want ALOT more money, and the money isnt there. They are trapped though. Their agent used to be some big wig in clear channel. He has been desperately trying to get someone, anyone else to make an offer so he can take it back to New Jersey 101.5 and get more money. But no one is interested. It looks like they are gonna have to stay whether they like it or not.

Jim is still on his way out by the end of this year. He wants to stay until after the governors race. The story is that they let him stay if he would leave after that.

Tommy is that your phone ringing? :) :) :) :)

You should know if your own phone is ringing.

You opened an account and your only activity is this one topic. That's suspicious.

Whatever you say. But it doesn't make anything I am saying wrong.

Deminski and Doyle are desperate to get more money. But no one else wants them so they are stuck.

Jim Gearheart is gone by the end of the year.

You saying it, doesn't make it right. On what do you base these claims of yours? Something. Anything. Why should we believe you're not blowing smoke?

I know several people in the building and in sales.

The average listeners for the station is approaching 60 years old so they have to let Jim Gearheart walk. And everyone in the place know that Deminski and Doyle want more money but don't have any leverage because no one else will make them an offer of any kind.

When Tommy was there he was far and away the number one show in his slot. Logic says that he could do the same thing in any other slot and they need to get those younger listeners back.

Im not Tommy but if I was then you should take what I'm saying as the truth. Because then I would have to know people in the place and I would have to know what's going on.

Tommy was #1 late at night. That means nothing during the day. High late night numbers, which are actually low when you look at the total audience that's available, don't translate into dominating a daytime slot when the competition is a lot stiffer.

Or look at it this way. A high share from 10pm onwards isn't as high as a low share during the day. Share is percentage of people listening to radio at that time. So, if the total available audience is 10 million and someone has a 3 share, it's double the audience than if the total potential available is 3 million and someone has a 5 share.

TommyG got better numbers than Michelle Jerson? Big accomplishment.

D&D want more money? Who doesn't? You say nobody else wants them. That wasn't true when they moved to Detroit but let's assume it's true now. That means they aren't going anywhere. So, are you saying that TommyG will get moved to PM drive because he will work cheaper?

Look, nothing lasts forever. Someday Gearhart will retire. TommyG is the personification of not-ready-for-prime-time. OK for late evening.

Dude, you have an ax to grind and you are being a little too obvious about it.

I also doubt that real people who work "in the building" will tell you stuff to post here. Besides, almost everybody in the building doesn't know what management intends to do until they do it.

Before they do anything else there, they should get Sabo back.

While I have no clue as to what Deminski and Doyle are involved with contractually, they should be fortunate they have such a great job. With that said, last week I had business in Edison and I found Tommy G on WCTC doing the afternoon show. He sounded great in the afternoon and seemed more than ready for prime time. If the rumors are true and they are in fact negotiating with Tommy G, I for one would listen.
