New method for clearing libtalk?

It is, every time I've heard it, liberal talk aimed at conservative audiences.

As far as I know, Mr. Colmes does not have a single clearance on an over-air station that purports to be a progressive talk station. (I'm not including his still-existing clearance on XM's "Air America" channel, despite the fact that they've renamed the channel for the deal with AAR. I mean terrestrial stations. I could be not remembering one...maybe CC's KRPT in San Antonio?)

Since he's on at 10 PM ET, he can be slotted after Savage in a less high-profile time slot on conservative talk stations.

It's not so much Colmes' own performance that gives me the impression he's the "conservative talk radio listener's liberal host". Unless they've changed the show's liners since last I heard the show, every single one of them is aimed at conservative listeners, with lines like "wanna give Alan a piece of your mind?", etc. I'm surprised they don't have liners like "Alan is really a liberal wimp, call up and show him how the right is right!". But they're not that far off.

In fact, it was cancelled officially at the beginning of September.

It last aired in July.<P ID="signature">______________

I believe that it was cancelled some time ago. Have you heard it recently?

Northeast Public Radio, which broadcasts identical programming on public radio stations all over upstate New York and in Massachusetts and Connecticut, does not carry "On the Media" and several other NPR talk shows that I used to listen to on WNYC when I lived in NYC. Don't assume that all NPR shows are carried everywhere.

That's fine in theory, but many stations can't afford competent local talk show hosts or have owners who won't pay for competent local hosts.

I made note of the show's cancellation in <a target="_blank" href=http://www.radio-info.com/mods/board?Post=555780&Board=newstalk>this post</a> on October 3rd.

I don't really follow AAR's weekend programming, so I missed the cancellation.

Besides, if you go to their own site, they still list "So What Else Is News" on their pull-down menu of shows. Maybe someone should tell their web staff...
