If you really want to know, the one rumor that seems to have the most legs is the signal split. The EDGE will remain on 103.9(that's the 6K signal right?) and a Jack type format will appear on 103.5. I may have the freq's mixed up, but that's what I'm hearing. Albany may be late on the Jack fad. WCBS NYC tanked in the ratings. Are there very many Jack stations on the East coast?

Re: Save Your Money

I\'ve heard the rumor of the signal spit, too. That would be stupid! For years, WQBK only broadcast on 103.9, and for the most part, was not a huge factor, in the market. On I-90, 25 miles west of Albany, 103.9 is dominated by WSRK, Oneonta, also on 103.9. They would, for the most part, completely lose their coverage, west of Albany, and their signal to the north, isn\'t good, either. The rumor of the signal split, does seem to have originated, from the CEO of a poorly rated competitor, so I have my doubts, about it.
