I'm surprised that nobody has commented on this -- at least not in the posts I've read.
Apparently, Whitney "Red" Knoerlein is the new host of The End's morning show. She comes from WWDC ("DC101") and a fan blog says she'll be in town on July 19th. The show starts in August.
A couple of websites refer to an Entercom press release:
Personally, I hope that her DC101 blog (http://www.dc101.com/pages/whitney.html) and MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/whitneyonair) don't reflect the sum total of her personality. Not sure if I want to spend my morning listening to "good stoner topics" from a self-described slacker who is "stoked" to join such an "epic" team. Lots of music is a good thing, but it sounds like they're going after the "young rocker" demo... and that ain't me.
I was hoping for Kevin & Bean. Oh, well...

Entercom Modern Rock mainstay KNDD (107.7 The End)/Seattle announces its new morning show, hosted by Whitney "Red" Knoerlin [sic]. Red begins her new gig starting in August and will be heard weekdays from 5:30-10 a.m. She most recently hosted middays at WWDC (DC101)/Washington, D.C. under her first name.
"I am incredibly stoked and grateful for the opportunity to join such an epic team," Red said. "Is this the part where I make a joke about the rain?"
KNDD PD Mike Kaplan says, "I’m thrilled she’s on the team! Red’s clever, honest…and in for one rough winter."
The station says that "Mornings with Red" will be a "community-driven, digitally interactive experience utilizing The End’s full array of online and mobile applications." The show will also include an hour and seven minutes of Non-Stop End-to-End Music each weekday morning.
