I guess the PD doesnt feel that they have enough interest in the stros here. Plus, you cant pic up the station at nite when most games are. It just wouldnt make sense. Then again, they do it with the Hornets. What local people would you keep on? I think they still need local programming in this town since it is a college town. Some of the local guys are good minus Jon Fine, Blake Andrews and Buddy Songy

i havent actually heard anyone good enough to keep. the two guys you named may be ok but i havent heard them. songy and company made me turn them off after the major leage playoff fiasco last year. they played songy instead of the espn games...that was it! wwl pretty much has the local sports scene covered. plus i can pick up 1280..i personally dont care about high school..

Rock 93.7 had a decline going but not the decline that ultimately showed up in the final book IMO (which is more casued by the "jacking" IMO of 93.7 a week after listeners were starting to settle in on the classic hits)... They have gone back for the most part to being a classic hits station (with the occasional weird placing) but I think what ever they built in early May got blown away and would take a few books to fix....

Rock toward the end didn't know what to do cause it seems in trying to save itself (plus having forces trying to kill you doesn't help)so it alienated listeners.... I would like to see it come back but that won't happen.

Yeah Rock never got the x to drop format cause they wouldn't go after the core audience of the X ..mainly the teens and twenties the x was catering to (most of the phones at the time for x were 16 YO kids)... and stay with a format that older listeners loved. The X actually shifted more alternative during that time so they did slighty adjust their playlist.. But since the flip, they have gone back to playing more mainstream and I've gone back to it being one of the stations I listen to.
