Mike and Mike are pretty bad. And Galloway is trying to sound like he is hip with the rip off lingo that the ticket uses, like using anacromins etc. Its like a 75 year old woman in hot pants and a halter top....REAL scary.

LOL at the "75 year old woman in hot pants and a halter top". Perfect. Randy needs to be doing a sports show and not jacking around with the GAC stuff. The Ticket has cornered the market on goofing around.

the whole problem is EVERYONE is so CO-OPTED Steve Dennis works for CBS11/Cowboys, Mickey Spagnola works for Cowboys/Ticket,Babe Laufenberg CBS11/Cowboys, The oft repeated name of Mike Fisher...who left Startlegram to cash Jerry's paychecks..well let's put it this way he is a rumor mill (ALL of it bad) he makes SH-T up. He had rumor mills spinning with Cowboys trading for Larry Johnson of KC Chiefs.

I am suprised FCC not down here checking everyone's underwear, due to "Conflict of Interest" issues. you want good local coverage of ANY sport, the whole problem is simple....there's no good people locally to cover sports. Doocy, Scruggs, Hansen and Laufenberg are the blowdry queens, the local newspapers are full of parrots, the last real sports news they covered hasn't happened yet and likely will drop the ball.

To do anything at all you will have to bring someone in, that will take time and money to get this guy/girl established and trusted. something no one wants to do seemingly, you see the Ticket is the biggest joke on the planet...one only they seem to be getting it.

Foxsports did a good job, not running same old Cowboys crap..as rest of nimrods do in this area. Too Bad they had a crappy signal was hard to get any where, and with station changing hands made situation even worse. I would love to see a local good signal station bring in Foxsports...they would beat the local yokels to death...simply put because their people are good, knowledgable and don't pander to locals who have no idea there are 31 other teams in NFL and local team sucks/blows

It would be refreshing to hear about other teams, stats, etc instead of cheerleading the Cowboys. Well thats why ESPN was invented I suppose. I mean it got so bad when Scott Murray was doing sports I am surprised he didnt mention what each had for breakfast ,lunch dinner and how many bowel movements they each had and who set a club record for the longest.

You know if the Ticket can find guys like BaD radio from other markets and I am not saying they are great necessarily, though I do love the segment they do when they are joined by the Hardline. But if you searched for people who love sports and have a personalty I think you could find someone. I can't believe there isn't anyone they can't find. There was a guy that I think the ticket used to air late at night from one of the networks they used in the early days and the guy was good. The name escapes me....anyway they ought to be able to find someone. Look like the liner the Ticket uses, we can do what they do, but they can't do what we do.....Compelling radio guys....

Well just like sex sells, so does the Cowboys.

I live in Dallas/Ft. Worth. I don't care what the Giants, Deadskins or Texans are doing. I don't want to hear about what other teams are doing in other parts of the country. So yes, I want homers. When I watch Dallas Cowboys football, I turn the sound down on the network broadcasters and I listen to the game on the radio and watch it on television. Why? Because they cover the team 24/7 365.

I know some folks on this board do not like The Ticket, for whatever reason. If you can't fight through the guy talk then listen to ESPN 103.3. For myself, I like to be entertained, and 1310 am does that for me. Now Im turned off by baseball talk and Ill filp over to KKDA to listen to Willis Johnson, but i am proud to say I am a Ticket P-1. They entertain. Thats why they are a top 5 billing station in this market. I doubt 103.3 will ever achieve that.

(What absolute moron thought that giving a failed traffic reporter a sports show was a good idea?)

I am just curious to know-- TO Whom you are referring too when make that statement-- knowing somewhere down the road (16 years ago or so) that I also once did traffic reports!

And if I may, the name Fisher is always brought up when names are dropped for radio, whether anyone likes it or not.. personally I am not a fan of Fisher, nor do I pretend to be... as for other names that have been tossed around, sometimes it might take a different enviroment, or management to bring something really good out of people.... How many times have we seen that happen in this industry, or for that matter in other jobs.

I have worked for some great people that brought things out of me that I didn't realize I had the potential to do, and then there are others that are worse than some of the people that we discuss on this board... so again, one never knows what talent they have unless they have someone who can bring it out of them!

Just a thought!
