New PD at The Peak...Alternative??

Maybe the new PD at the Peak could flip the station to an "all Radio-Info" format?

Mornings could be FM talk - a format that some folks here think wasn't given a chance - with Big O and Dukes as the hosts, or perhaps Kid Stevens.

Mid-days could be AAA - a format that also apparently wasn't given a fair shake - can we get the Bone Mama back?

Afternoons? Tough call, but I'd say there's a niche for a classic modern ac/alternative show...call it the "Afternoon Zone" and hire Chuck Powell.

Nights? That's easy. Dance! Sure, 24/7 dance music would probably be more successful than just a night show (that's sarcasm, folks), but you gotta start somewhere, right?

Overnights? I'm torn...either it should be handed over to KOOL Listener Lauren to program as she sees fit, or it could be a free-form show hosted by Dr. Akbar.

Give it to KLL. Nurse Jeff and I'd have the Old Gringo as our guest and wouldn't be able to get him off the line!
 
I wish they would have left the Peak alone. I thought they had a great station. I loved the music mix. Something compelled them to play with it, so my guess is that it must be lower revenue or numbers that made them think they needed to "fix" it. Too bad.
 
I disagree a very good modern ac leaning a little newer at night has been missing for awhile. I am excited to hear the new Peak next year
 
Right now, I don't notice any difference with what the Peak is playing. A change to alternative or modern AC would be surprising. I'll believe it when I hear it. Until then, it's the same old Peak!

Ford, I would love the overnight shift of the "Radio-Info" version of The Peak. I'm honored to be suggested... Thanks! :)
