Sure thing, sorry for suggestively asking a question. :-[ Here's the suggestive question, re-phrased as a direct question, avoiding possabilities of getting wet paint on ourselfs:Can you say with any certainty that we should expect to see another windows-based processor within the next 2 years from Omnia?being a broadcaster that leases rack-spaces in a controlled multi-layered biometric-secured environment (1000U+ spaces by 2007), that's partly why it's my $1,000,000 question at the moment... naturally Omnia.A/X has $0 space cost on existing equipiment, but it's unfortunately incapable of getting the sound & texture we want.if we could afford to put an Omnia.6EXiDAB on every single setup we have, we would (which would mean we'd own over 200 of 'em by 2007), and then paying for the space wouldn't be a problem in the first place. as of right now though, it's two huge double-whammys against any particular large expensive processor. initial cost & space cost. eventually (hopefully) we won't have to even think about it.even a 1U CPU based unit, or DSP pretending to be a CPU based unit (technically the same thing by definition of "unit"), offers a better space advantage than the 6EXi platform... and as you've proven with the Omnia.ONE it can be sold for less (by comparison to the Omnia.3FMt). A windows-based audio processor lessens the cost even more because the end-user provides the hardware, and there is $0 space-cost if it's run on existing equipiment. And far be it from me to guess how your product sales income & marketing of each product balances out in your books... but I just don't see many ads for Omnia.A/X... so it's a possability (in the public's perception) that it could lower the price more, but i won't attempt to guess if it's a probability cos i'm not you, i don't work at telos, etc.i'm also fully aware that our "problem" represents a very very small segment of your clients. large-market FM/AM networks are limited by the FCC on thier ownership, and even if they rent space they almost certainly don't get charged per cabinet in a secured environment comparable with a DOD NOC.being somewhat involved with the business end, and very involved with most of our trade secrets, and also that we're a publicly traded company... i completely understand why you may not even be able to give me an answer to the question before I read it in an email from Telos. but eh, doesn't hurt to ask, does it? ???
