New Rules on Family Feud?

I think they wanted to give it a stadium feel. This would explain why some of the audience holds up cards now too. What's next... Cheerleaders? It doesn't look right. Now they've got the car in the back too. I bet that in person that studio looks as crowded as hell.

A stadium feel? Great! Now the feud can air just before the Superbowl and broadcast live from the field! (=;

No joke. Watch the show. It looks like they are trying to work towards that.

my first thought after reading these posts was ...."HEY PEOPLE GET A L I F E!" but i guess New Rules on Family feud is a big deal to some people. who knew?

Although there were some breaks in the airings for a few years at a time, Family Feud essentially has been on the air since the 70s and while some changes have been made and some changes made were later eliminated it still seems odd to see the old reruns on GSN with the old rules and the new version on FOX 61. The only thing I didn't have a problem with was when during the Louie Anderson run they upped the prize from $10,000 to $20,000.

The rule changes have been really minor over the years, the most notable being Bullseye, and this version is the same as the original incarnation of that game...unlike, say, the original Match Game morphing into the comedy version, or the Price is Right adding all the "carnival" pricing games in its revival. To me, watching a Dawson or Combs episode is about the same, game-play wise, as the current version (and with the set re-designed to evoke the old style, it's even more similar).
