New Shows Coming to Antenna TV

gregg, I think RTV was too cheap to renew the catalog. I think Luken is satisfied paying for cheaper content on LPTV stations. Since ATV and MeTV are not interested in LPTV its all his haha ;)

MeTV has announced their fall additions and its big: Star Trek, Batman, Peter Gunn, Rifleman, Daniel Boone, Lost in space, Laurel and Hardy, Voyage to the bottom of the sea, Mission impossible, and more..... cant wait. :D

I want my Me!

Any new EI programs for kids coming this fall?

And also, here are some show ideas for Antenna TV:

1. Original programming
2. Classic game shows owned by Sony Pictures (like "Jeopardy" and "Wheel Of Fortune")
3. The animated versions of "Jumanji" and "Jackie Chan Adventures" (Didn't Columbia-TriStar co-
produce these shows as well as their movie counterparts?)
4. Classic episodes of "Days Of Our Lives" and "The Young And The Restless"
5. Classic talk shows owned by Sony Pictures Television

Any other ideas?

original programing is what ruins many tv channels like antenna tv.

1. That depends on what type of original programming you're talking about.
2. I'd definitely like seeing more classic game shows, but how much does GSN have the rights tied up on in that?
3. Antenna TV already has some classic cartoons, but I'd guess that Cartoon Network/Boomerang has a big part of that tied up.
4. I'm not a soap fan, but Soap Net has that tied up now. But still, I'd rather see soaps than trash talk or infomercials.
5. The only talk shows I'd want to see would be classic Carson or Letterman. And PLEASE no trash talk!!!

i have never seen a nitch channel that has not been at least lessened by original programing.thats why i don`t like the idea of original programming on antenna tv.

even if they are good original programs they tend to take over the programing the nitch channel is meant to be.

i believe that original programing on antenna will take away almost all the time spent showing old tv shows and old movies if not all.

Unfortunately, I don't find much on Antenna TV (on Tribune's KIAH-39.2) to watch, but most of the time I'm flipping past them is mid-afternoon between my shifts at work.

I find ME-TV (on KUBE-57.5) watchable just about any time of the day and with the added programs, sounds like it will be better. Incidently, KUBE-57.1 is pretty watchable with re-runs of Matlock and some great classic late-70s/early-80s sitcoms on their schedule. This fall, they are picking up first-run Dr. Phil and Rachael Ray, though.

Currently, 57.1 is running Star Trek at 10pm, curious if they will continue airing it if its airing down the sub-channel on ME.

I'd still rather have ME-TV, but nobody in Memphis or Jackson, TN is doing anything with it. WREG in Memphis has Antenna TV, but Charter in Jackson doesn't carry it. as long as WBBJ and WJKT in Jackson keep sitting on their backsides and not doing anything worth watching on their subchannels we probably won't be able to see Me-TV, Antenna, or even RTV.

I would like to see some classic game shows on RTV,ATV, and MeTV as well. Perhaps RTV can redeem itself by replacing some of the weak shows they currently air with some familiar classic game shows.

Didn't "The Game Show Channel" used to exist (for a brief period before morphing into something else).

I don't think something like old game shows would draw any of the younger set and the demo that remembers 50's and 60's game shows probably can't see the TV from the couch any longer.

...Game Show Network is still around; their on-screen branding is now GSN...

They took it off basic cable V package and lumped them with some sports package you have to pay for just to see GSN....

After last week, both LITB and Andy Griffith were removed from the weekend afternoons (and overall schedule). I forget what replaces them, Three's Company I think.
"Three's Company" and the spinoff, "The Ropers" are still on Antenna TV.
