New Shows on The Source

I feel safe sharing this information as I am pretty confident you will be able to hear the new programs tomorrow morning at 5am on Bham's 101.1 The Source. No one has told me this directly but anyone that surfed the internet could figure out who the new morning show is pretty fast. Hank Erwin starting has been public knowledge as well as Burt and Kurt reducing their hours.

5a - 9a Griffin and Berry
9a - 11a Burt and Kurt
11a - 1p Hank Erwin
1p - 2p Preacher and the Doc
2p - 6p Matt Murphy
6p - 8p Lee Davis

Correction: They are calling the morning show the Attack Machine. Jackson and Hobbs are the host. They are coming from WYOO in Panama City, an fm talk on 101.1.

Preacher and the doc are off the line up with Lee Davis taking that shows place.

The Attack Machine in Birmingham!?! Good for them....they were in North Florida for almost two years (since May 05) and from what I heard did a great job....PC's loss is B'hams gain....

Attack Machine + Bible thumpers ... Good God in Heaven!!!

Hellava mix there - can I have an AMEN?!

Which one of them are you? Just wondeirng...your screen name makes me suspicious of self promotion.

Allow me to step in here. If I have something to say I will say it. Period. S/N are unacceptable, hiding and hammering on people is as wrong as promoting yourself to a ton of radio nerds. So as I have on the North Florida boards I will ask everyone to come clean as to who you are... here is what I have learned since I made this challenge...

DaleJackson - Dale Jackson
cceng - Charlie Wooten
vtown - Jo Valentine
everyone else - cowards

Ahem... Pardon my interest in the original topic, but are there any early opinions of the new program?

Hey Dale, you can click on my profile and read who I am any time. By the way, why did you guys change your on air names?

Be careful what you say online. Armstrong doesn't take message boards lightly.

I am curious though to hear from others outside of the Crawford building on how the new morning show sounded.  101.1 doesn't reach this far south to Montgomery.

Excuuuuuuuuse me..the name I have chosen has nothing to do with self promotion or the name of the show. Can't even give a compliment without everyone gettin all wigged out. I have not heard the new show in B'ham, only in PC....no comment.

i listened to the replay and for a publicity stunt the show went well yesterday. the guys got the bama faithful stirred up and one of my "bammer" buds was bringing up the movie "talk radio" and indicating that "chip 'n' dale" might be well advised to hire some security soon.

the show, by it's very name, is designed to cause ill feelings. never thought crawford would stoop this low to provide a political polarization for one of his "christian" stations.

hope they are reigned in soon or the source's audience will wither even more.

i like the fact that they sound somewhat diffent than all of hosts of the source. correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the station doing rather poorly these days? why not try to revamp slightly?

You never thought they'd stoop that low? You must not remember the last regular morning show on 101.1. Russ and Dee? Not exactly politically unbiased.

These two are exactly what this station needed, IMO. They do a great show that's not old-lady obituary radio like everything else in town. I may not agree with them that often, but they have my #1 morning drive preset for now.

what i said was that i never thought crawford would stoop to this level for one of his "christian" stations.

that said, i don't think this is what is needed in birmingham (or any other market for that matter). there are enough people pissed off in the world right now, why do we need it in our morning radio? it isn't because of social or moral concerns, it is for the money alone.

as to russ & dee, yes they were controversial but their intent was not to cause unrest. these guys use disturbing the peace as their mission statement.

It's not a Christian station. It's always been a secular local talk station.

Also, they just quoted you on the air.

mr. jackson,

you are welcome to quote me anywhere, anytime.

if the intent of your show is not to disturb the peace then your show has gone awry in the worst fashion.
