New TTK Overnight Program

"David Stein segues from sports to general talk".
I tuned in momentarily early this morning and Stein seemed to be saying the show's going off (no sponsors).

Gawd, I hope so! ::)

so you all don't like David Stein show? Or do you like it??

Going off the subject right quick, what do you all think of "Red Eye Radio"? WRKO 680am Monday-Saturday 1am-5am. I LOVE IT!!! Good stuff. Well worth a listen

Going back to David Stein, His show is ok. It could be better if they turn down the music, and not play it that long in the back. Take more calls. I wish him the best

wtkk!!! his show is alright the little i heard tonight!! i for one think he should lay off religion and focus on the issues at hand!! he said its over and all i heard was echoes almost like hes in his basement, i think i can see why its going off the air :p

I was to tired last night to change the station after Batchelor so I heard bits and pieces of Stein's last show. It was kind of sad listening to him do an on air wake. I hope TKK puts something on besides Hendrie or John and Jeff.

Red Eye Radio is great. I just wish Doug McIntyre ( A Stonehill College graduate) had more guests. He is a great interviewer and very knowledgeable about history, entertainment and current events..

"Not a bad guy" (broadcaster) as The Dean would say. But a Delilah-type format for a male isn't going to work.
I think I heard his meeting his wife story four times and I didn't hear that much of the show over the last 25 days (or whatever it was).

Red Eye and Coast to Coast are already carried by other stations; barring them running something like Sporting News Radio, if they prefer not to go back to Hendrie I suppose they could do radio re-winds again like they used to years ago--rerun Graham, Bower, whatever.

Interesting: A visit to http://www.969bostontalks.com not only has an ad for "Meehan (and Tom Keane) all next week 2-6 pm" but the schedule page no longer says "Mike Bower". It now says simply
"Afternoons"..

>>sched page
10:00AM - 2:00PM Michael Graham

2:00PM - 6:00PM Afternoons

6:00PM - 10:00PM Michael Smerconish

Stein is/was awful. When you're trying to stay awake at work at 3AM he doesn't help. I love Red Eye and Coast to Coast. Lately Coast to Coast has had some boring guests. Too much end of the world and religious topics. I like the UFO and Bigfoot type of guests.

yeah, David Stein did talk a lot about religion, that alone would turn off some (not all) listenners.
Yeah, on Thursday afternoon, I heard a Michael Smerconish spot, he was saying "join me tonight at 6pm and we'll talk about ..."
That is not a LIVE time for Michael Smerconish. His show (in this area) supposed to be live Noon-3pm. If I got to work in Program Management, I would look more into how I would program this station so it would be a successful talk station. She can do better than that.

i guess bower's temp contract finally ran out its not gonna matter anyhow no matter who they put there!!

Didn't he just start there?
What do you all think of him? He was recently in Jay Severon old time slot?
I was listenning Thursday afternoon around 5:30pm on my way home from work. From what I heard. He's ok. He sounds like he'd do better in Sports Talk as a "2 Minute Sports Update News Reporter" I enjoyed what I heard

Yup, Monday and Tuesday morning they had Hendrie (holiday and/or contractual until end of month?) then this morning (June 1st) they had John & Jeff (the schedule now shows them weekday mornings and Hendrie weekends).
Well, they've got at least one happy camper! :) ;D

Phil Hendriie is back weekends from 2a-5a

Gawd, what pretentious crap. Just what, exactly, is supposed to be the attraction? Is it that his callers give dopes people to look down on?

Regards,
TSB
