Sounds like they are thinking outside the box. I will bet they will do well. it might not be the same ol hum drum radio that we are used to listening to. Bes tof luck to them.

This is More like Jack before Cumulus took WJJK to classic Hits/Rockbigtime said:Yes they could have an easy 5 share with oldies, but they don't want that 5 share. Is that a wise decision? They are the ones who have to sell whatever audience they have, so it's of course up to them. If this is hot ac, won't that compete with sister station wzpl?

True. I called in a request two days ago and I haven't heard it played yet. Don't get me wrong I love the music they're playing, I've always been a fan of 80's/90's pop. I just don't see how this is any better than the track. The only thing I can see they got out of this was the excuse to get rid of the jocks.bigtime said:Saying you take requests and actually playing them are two different things. It's easy enough to pick and choose the requests you were going to play anyway. It's always worked that way.

Heard a liner last night.
"Coach Jim Caldwell thinks we should rest our best songs. So here's one from the bench. My 107.9". Think they played "I'm a Barbie Girl" after that.

Sounds like something Sands would write.
