While WILKS is cheap, I was impressed when I got the opportunity to tour their new digs out in Denver. They moved from a Class A building in the heart of downtown to a Class A building a few miles away. Grant it the new building has lower rents then the sky rocketed prices in downtown Denver. Just a FYI Denver has some eye popping commercial real estate prices, even older buildings in Denver rent for 2 to 3x as much as the newest building goes for in Columbus, That said the finishes and studios in the new building exceeded my expectations for WILKS. Maybe they will do the same in Columbus? Im not sure if WILKS has a backup generator in the new building in Denver, I know their old building the former Denver Post tower had backup power; but in Denver most everything developed after 1970 all has underground electric. Its not uncommon for Denver to get 70-80 MPH winds so the utility companies out there learned a long time ago to bury their stuff.
While WILKS digs in Denver were impressive, Lincoln Financial Media studios in Denver takes the cake for the spiffiest studios I have seen in quite some time, no other cluster in Denver, not even CC or Entercom compare to Lincoln's digital palace. I don't even think CC or anyone else locally here in Columbus has the bells and whistles that Lincoln has in Denver; everything being top shelf.
