This sounds OT--but terror is a local issue, albeit semi-local--has anyone forgotten 9/11? With the way some of the AAR suporters are--YES! What about the so called Freedom Museum plans at Ground Zero--the proposal DOES NOT talk about 9/11--instead it's an Anti-American politically driven piece of hatred talking about things from slavery to Gitmo--WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH 9/11? Nothing, except America bashing!
There are also immigration problems in the tri-state area--especially in Danbury where that city's Republican Mayor has stirred the pot by asking state police to become like the Minutemen Project out west. Budgets are an issue as well and the New Jersey governor's race next year is the hottest ticket around given all the political instability that state has had to face. Some national issues have an impact on the NYC area. Are you asking that NYC secede from the nation the way Quebec wants to do so from Canada?
And has anyone forgotten about John Gambling and Curtis and Kuby? Or does the vitriol get concentrated all the time with Rush and Hannity? What about WOR's Bob Grant, who briefly went national a few years ago--he's local. And for the most AAR has no live local hosts for NYC--that is one they couldn't afford!

Well, I will give you that the ratings don't mean anything--it's like those unscientific polls you hear for a major story. But, sometimes you know some teens DON'T watch MTV or listen to Top 40 radio. Maybe some are thinking, I'll have a responsibility in this country one day--have a family, find a job, but yet be weary of the war we are in--one that was declared via a Jihad on 9/11/2001.
