Nice Start

So like a fool, I check out the 92.5 midnight switch to the KFBK content using the infamous IHeartRadio stream.

Fail.

Of course, before Mike Simpson could even finish his explaination of the flip, the stream crashed. I did manage to
hear the partially cut off Fox News Headlines {intro missed} and another thrilling ad for a bail bonds company, plus
all of ten seconds of Simpson...then, complete silence.

The other question....besides cutting into BK's real numbers, do CC brass really think putting on the exact same
content on one of their FMs constitues bold thinking and a brave new world?

Or, is this just another case of radio execs so blinded by their lack of creativity - and possible cost savings, the
real engine here - that they think this is innovation?

Repetition bolstered by sloppy execution - CC's idea of originality and creative thinking.

Yes it is starting out nice, a solid young imaging Voice and sounders, however the engineering staff has some work converting the AM to FM, audio tricks, cheap microphones and processing worked OK for AM but On FM is sounds terrible, Ed this morning sounded overmodulated at times and Amy was to soft, Pat Walsh sounded like he was in a baseball dugout and they need to move the traffic guys out of that corner and put them in a studio, It need some adjustments and I am sure it will with time
I hope they will do some creative programing with different shows on AM and FM we need some additional Local Talk, Too many issues in the Sacramento Community
to have only 1 hour daily with John

Seems Snarky is in. That was the disparaging way Ronn Owens described a new announcer for KGO. Sounded to me like the same guy, or his cousin.

Well, according to that earlier bit on All Access, the goal is to appeal not only to Sacramento, it's to all of Northern California. It's apparently in line with the 10/26 Clear Channel change of strategy.

Doesn't exactly sound local, eh?

Bkress......

It was bad enough the 92.5 stream lasted about 200 seconds before disappearing.....

But then I turned on my radio and heard the sad-sounding technical shortcomings.
It's as if Clear Channel didn't think at all about the actual quality of their broadcast.

Oh, wait....it's Clear Channel I'm talking about. Silly me......

If someone thinks CC will actually pay to produce more local talk...or more local anything
outside the realm of paid infomercials....please check back when you revisit this planet.

92.5 - The Great Repeater.
