WNTIRadio said:Good jock for CHR or DHA style rock... doesn't really fit formatically with RXP. It seems silly that he's on when you have talent like Paul Cavalconte on the sidelines. But really, that whole station is just not quite "there". When will they wake up and realize the same people who want to hear the new Phoenix or Pete Yorn don'twant to hear AC/DC, Guns and fricken Roses or Van Halen. If you play Guns n Roses, you may as well play Poison too. A station like RXP should be a refuge from that worn out music you can hear on DHA, Q-same 200 songs-104 or any other garden variety "titties and beer" rock station.
And also, STOP TALKING OVER THE MUSIC! What is this, Z-100?? You don't have to hit the post like CBS-FM on a supposed AAA... that goes for Cannon and all of them. Back to Cannon, he's just a little too "smart ass" for the format they are trying to execute. I'm not saying he's a bad jock at all, in fact, he would be great at any active rocker, hot AC or CHR.
Sorry the post was all over the place... RXP is like my Niagra Falls: "Slowly I turn......."
It could be a great radio station if they would only decide what it is they really want to be, and then focus on it.

See anything wrong from his tweets from this morning?:

Eventually he'll be doing the show from Las Vegas in October when "America's Got Talent" starts up again. And he'll probably be doing some shows from L.A. as well. If he does these shows "live" they would be from 3-7am local (Pacific) time. I just don't know...is some voicetracking in Nick's future? Or just minimal voice "drop-ins"?MorningRadio said:nick sounds like a bad night show right now he needs a couple radio pros to co host with him and one hell of a producer to even have a shot at lasting in NY radio. His show has not had much if any content yet so maybe they are just going to make it a music show with a touch of nick.

Only Wannabee's D J's ( DJ's whom know nothing about Urban music and want to sound cool, but end up sounding stupid ).ericdxx said:dBoogs said:so if...say ethnic people are not to sound...ethnic on air...what is fashionable these days?
I think "black talk" was the wrong term to use. What I meant was hiphop-slang. I don't think it's fashionable these days. The DJs on urban stations hardly talk like that anymore. Do they?
