Nick retires as a poster on radio-info

New Brunswick, NJ - Radio-info community has suffered a loss as one its devoted posters has posted his last post today. "I just would like to concentrate on school and give up the radio thing". Nick will be most know for his ridiculous shot at humor on April 1st.

Oh come on, man! ;D It was kinda funny on the Philly board! :) If not for him, then the few haters you have there!

Not for nothing but I think we've twisted the "dans stayshun" joke in our favor now whereas it has become an embarassment for a person, not into dance music, to use it...instead of the rock fans "panning" on us! BTW, I've been going down to Philadelphia A LOT lately. :) Good station...lost you guys around Cherry Hill (near the Walmart on Rt. 38)

We scream into Cherry Hill, you might need to change the aluminum foil on your antenna.

You all missed my sarcastic April fools humor. He hit ever board and got ripped. Pay attention

Nothing wrong with rock music... why do we have to like only one music and not another... Im a Rock fan,,,, Especially-Mainly a dance fan,,, a top 40 CHR fan,, a Hip Hop fan.... thats why mass appeal stations like Z-1035 torronto,,, the Galaxy network in the UK and the Kiss Network in the UK,,, Slam FM,,, BBC 1, all do well cause they play music that everyone likes,,, not everyone is gonna listen to dance 24/7///not even myself, and people who love Pulse 87 probably also listen to Z-100, hot 97, NOW 92.3 ETC..... Alot of Dance Fans like other music as well... i cant tell you all the people that like Active rock, CHR and Country all equal here in indiana,,, im sure a Dance station would be the same,, it may be their 1 preset, but they will always skew off the channel for some variety... I bet virgin radio in toronto is giving Z some competition,, will they add more dance,,, drop some dance, or stay the same,,,, time will tell.

I'll retire the day that Charlotte, NC gets an FM dance station. Tropo and e-skip don't count, and neither does HD2.

Looks like it's on progress lol 8) I'm on the friends list

Charlotte has had two dance heavy stations,,, 95.1 when they went from 95 Double Q to 95.1 the Edge was a CHR with a Dance-Alternative lean for about a year, then went full blown Alternative before eventually skewing back to CHR and renaming it Kiss 95.1.... most of you dont remember, but Charlotte's 101.9 which is urban AC, used to be Rhythmic dance as Kiss 102,,, very dance heavy... Also, 93.3 WBBO,, Power 93.3 Licensed to the Greenville Spartanburg area was dance from 91-93.....

Charlotte isnt as far fetched as one may think. Even Knoxville Tennessee,,, The country Music Smokie Mountain belt has a Huge Drum N Bass scene... probably the biggest in the U.S,,, and from 1988-1993 WOKI then I-100 on 100.3 was very dance friendly,,, but also Rock friendly.

Louisville Kentucky used to have a dance friendly WDJX 99.7,,, the dance is all but gone, but the station still exists as a mainstream CHR,,,, Chris Shebal one of the founders of Chicago's Energy 927&5 used to program it.

Even Terre haute Indiana, Gran Rapids Michigan, and even Fort Wayne IND of all places once had not one, but 2 dance stations, Energy 102.9 and Hot 102.3,,, Energy was pure Dance, and Hot was like the B-96 Chicago sound with Rhythmic POP, Hip Hop and POP-Dance Remixes-house-Euro,,, called Fort Waynes Dance Beat... Yet Fort Wayne hasnt seen a true CHR since Wmee 97.3 went AC in 1994.
