Sweet! WEOS's CP for 90.3 in Auburn was granted on Friday. Within minutes, I grabbed WVWA as the call letters...bringing a storied history to the Finger Lakes, indeed. ;D
In all honesty, I don't know if we're going to keep WVWA as the calls for Auburn. In a perfect world I'd like to get WAUB, so our calls match "WITH" for ITHaca...since 90.3 will be a full-time repeater for WITH (whenever we manage to get WITH built). But of course, WAUB is already taken.
BUT, I am highly inclined to do an April 1st launch of 90.3...probably in 2011...for a single day completely devoted to the "NINE!!!" format from the "original" WVWA, heard here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsHYp4k7fFw And yes, this is a shameless plug for submissions from radio aficionados towards that goal. Scott, I know I can count on you!
Anyone else want in for a day of fan service to radio geeks everywhere?
