NINE-FM, 9PM, Saturday Night......

I take my hat off to Matt and the staff at 9

This was a huge undertaking...fit their format....and maybe they found out what the audience wants to hear?

I loved hearing Landecker go from Ann Murray to Scorpions....i have serious doubts that listeners (other than the ones here like me) were into it...but I could be wrong....

Perhaps you could upload it? I could mirror it if you need, I have 90 GB of bandwidth at my disposal.

My company is having a brand new server installed. Once that's up, I'll make room for some airchecks and pics. Just hang tight.

Re: PLAYLIST

That's a VERY partial playlist. I imagine you found that on one of those tracking services, huh Rob?

It doesn't list a bunch of tracks, such as (in no particular order):

LIME "Angel Eyes" (I can't believe they couldn't ID this track.)
ANNIE "Heartbeat" (a new dance cut on Big Beat/Atlantic)
CHIP E "If You Only Knew" (a Chicago house classic)
DAJAE & CAJMERE "Brighter Days" (90's Chicago house)

Programming on the fly, I forgot to write down the tracks and order that I played them in. When I get a copy of the aircheck from Nine or a listener, I'll be sure to revise the playlist.

By the way, those people who were expecting to hear me today at 1pm-2pm... Matt (program director at Nine) was cool with me to let me have the day off since I took three hours last Saturday night. I'm going to spend the time with my family instead! Thanks for the support.

Please continue to help out Hurricane Katrina victims in any way you can, such as contributing to the American Red Cross at 1-800-HELP-NOW or RedCross.org.

It was really a great time in there. Matt is a great guy!!!
on Sunday it was the URBAN Gang in there. (Richard Pegue,Al Greer, Bonnie Deshong, P.J. Willis and (ME) LaMont Watts. It was fun playing music that we dont normally play on the stations we've been on. It was great that the effort all the different air staff gave was just a small way of helping out. and thanks to all the people who pledged for the event.

> Matt is a great guy!!!

Yes he is. It is great to see a programmer his age full of energy and motivation.

LaMont, if you read this and you can share with the readers, what I noticed was, all the pledges, NINE asked for what song you wanted, AND, an alternate, just in case. It was curious as a lot of the songs were a rock song, and an Urban song as the alternate. Or a Classic Rock tune and a Hip Hop tune. An obscure 70's tune, and a current. Something you would expect NOT to expect!

And I agree, the Urban staff on Sunday sounded full of life, and was entertaining to listen to. Richard Pegue, class act, great voice.

Can't say it enough, all for a good cause and a great weekend of programming.<P ID="signature">______________

yes, the plege phone were ringing. and it seemed like it was a mostly rock audience that called. as far as the urban goes as an alternate (at least during our shift) it really wasnt a lot of secondary request for it. I mean there wer some made but over all mostly rock and classics. the highlite for me was when richard had to backsell metallica and bonnie and i had to backsell chumchuwammba (i think i speeled them wrong...sorry)we wer like fish out of water. but even through all the different songs Richard still managed to provided some history of some of the oldies tunes :)
