No LPGA on the East Coast 9/24

The final round of the US International Crown is airing now on NBC......except on most of the Eastern Time Zone afilliates, Miami being the one exception I can see (I only have access to the O&O live streams). NBC east coast is currently airing two hours of 'NBC Kids' I'm guessing that didn'the air Saturday due too many sports?

Women's golf has been at its lowest ebb in American fan interest in many years for some time now. The tour is dominated by Asian players, mainly South Koreans, and no matter how the LPGA has tried to promote them, it's been difficult for US viewers to embrace what looks to them like a production line of interchangeable, indistinguishable Lees, Parks and Kims. It was probably tough to get many affiliates to clear this tournament. At least NBC had E/I as a backup, better than turning the time over to the affiliates -- that most likely would have meant infomercials. The children's programming probably got just as many eyeballs as the golf would have, and that just might have been more than infomercials would have attracted.

I believe CaliRadioFan meant to type "7/24" in the name of the topic.

Yes, thank you Mario....7/24 indeed. As far as the network getting clearances, it seemed it was only most of the NBC stations in the Eastern Time Zone (except Miami and Detroit?). I'm guessing too many live sports on Saturday in that time zone that 1-3pm on Sunday was the only window avaliable to air the two hours left of the NBC Kids E/I block.
