non disclosure?
of what?
that he may no longer work there?
Not a chance in Hell, if he was no longer working there he could tell you so.
IF there was a settlement of a employment related lawsuit, there are legitimate uses of non disclosure agreements (N.D.A.) and or non disparagement clauses, but he could still say he was no longer employed there, just not why.
Could he buy his own time somewhere?
Sure, but if you want to be HEARD it is to cost you some $$$ and I don't think Morgan has a few grand in his pocket to pay the first months lease fees up front, or wants to go out in this economic climate and try to hustle up sponsors.... and if he tried to hit up any of the sponsors he heard placed in his spot load while on WBZ A, and it got back to the Evil Empire, you can bet he would get a cease and desist letter.
The reality?
Stations have learned that people have accepted the fact that weekend hosts are gone, the company is saving a little money, nobody is protesting over on Cabot Road to bring back Morgan.
Welcome to the new normal.
He could do a FB live if he wanted to, if you follow the newly married Mistress Carrie on social media, not only does she have a great podcast, but her Tuesday night FB Live " Cocktails From The War Room" is very interactive via the comments she sees while discussing topics, she will answer specific people and comments in near real time.
But if you think it sux to be in radio in this climate, think of all the Pilots that have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on training and education and are probably never going to fly as an ATP again as the industry contracts... those jobs are not returning anytime soon, if ever.
