no real rock stations in dfw?

I guess I crave more college rock/alternative than KDGE is willing to put out these days, all they do is greatest hits from the 90's, which is fine. But, id rather hear more stuff you'd hear in a line up at a alt music festival (ACL/Cochella) than the same ol' recycled nirvana

Right.... Greatest Hits of ANY rock genre is not "Real Rock", but "Greatest Hits/Oldies" Rock....

And some of us that post here, really do know the difference, and count it so.

If all that commerical radio can do is "Greatest Hits" formats, then I count commerical radio as entirely useless, musically, no matter how "efficiently" it is corporately run and organized. All of the Blood Drvies, promos, giveaways, and contests, mean nothing, when it's tied to nothing more than a Greatest Hits format.

That;s what I mean when I say that there is no real rock stations in the Dallas Market.

Only the same cooked over commercial hits, heard anywhere across nowhere-land.

I am not really in to rock anymore so I am no expert on the niche formats it is divided in however I evacuated to Dallas during the last hurricane and the eagle was rock, then there were 3 or 4 other rockers somewhere between 101 and 106 so I am surprisedanyone thinks there is not enough rock in Dallas For Worth. I did not spend a lot of time listening I could be wrong. Please explain you complaint better.

Maybe you should've listened longer. Because there is only one rocker in the 101 - 106 area of the dial, KDGE 102.1 (The Edge).

Maybe when he was flipping through the stations 102.9 was playing a Nickelback song, 103.7 was playing a Journey song, and 106.1 was playing a Hinder song.
