Nobody's talking about WJSE?

I can only hope 99.3 Kiss FM "fills the gap" of the CHR spectrum that WAYV won't play. That way, Wild would play more dance to differentiate itself from Kiss.

I hope Wild has daily mixshows, they could just simulcast them from Long Island.
 
We also keep losing our dance stations one by one, and there are far fewer dance stations. 2 weeks ago we lost Super 91.7.

Yup... that's the best way to run a radio station. Just react to what other stations are doing and make no attempt to actually satisfy your loyal listeners. It's that kind of thinking that's taken 99.3 from 1st to 5th.

Look for the new air staff to hit KISS asap and them to become more aggressive promotionally.

Wouldn't that have been a good idea BEFORE 102.7 signed on? 99.3 had a 10 year head start on the new 102.7 and Equity did nothing with it.

I don't blame 99.3's PD (still Rob Garcia, right?). He's done all he could with the lack of resources management has given him. I do blame Equity for only investing in their stations when someone else tries to compete. It's this kind of REACTIVE, rather than PROACTIVE, approach that gives radio a bad reputation. By now, Equity could have had a heritage Rhythmic CHR with a successful morning show and tons of loyal listeners. Instead, they have a jukebox that's vulnerable to any competition.
 
I find it really ironic that there's a thread called "Nobody's talking about WJSE?" when we've got 10 million threads on the subject now.

I think you're thinking of Fun 107 on 107.3.

Buzz came on 105.5 a year or more later, eventually spreading to 99.3

After Buzz went hip-hop, Hot 106.3 was around playing pop and dance for a short time.
