Could be larger imo. The 2 Philly sports stations always seem to trail Bostons 2 sports stations by 1 to 2 ratings points respectively.

I tuned in yesterday afternoon on the way home form work and quite honestly it was a mistake. The 2 guys on WIp were giggling and gaggling at each other. It was romper room meets jungle exhibit at the Philadephia zoo. The noises coming from my radio were incredulous.

97.5 they had on a couple guys that probably were better suited for Rowan Radio. I gave local sports radio all of 5 minutes, click, on to better things.

I agree. There are times I've tuned in and wasn't impressed and after a few minutes tuned out. Other times, listened for a few hours. Depends, I guess on what's happening in the sports world that day, or if those guys, on either 94.1 WIP or 97.5 the Fanatic, took their meds, or really prepped well for the show, etc.
I have an advantage you may not have, I also have 1290 WWTX Fox Sportstalk, and sometimes I'll listen to Jim Rome or one of those guys for a while too.

However, given Philly is such a great sports town, both WIP and WPEN should have no problem pulling in great numbers, maybe they've just got to tweak their product offering some. For those who like talk and are burned out on political talk, sports talk is a great alternative as long as they don't get crazy and gaggle and giggle, etc.
