I think it's PAINFULLY clear that going all Christmas isn't helping WTSS at all. At least, not yet.
Please look at the measurement dates for what Nielsen calls “November”.

There is a BIG gap in share between WTSS and WKSE. I wonder why.

WUSW does not and will no longer show up. Once the FM's go up in January, who knows, you never know what will happen. :)

I do hate them, I do want nothing to do with them, and I do no longer subscribe.
Read Dr Ed Cohen's piece on new ratings systems at Could AI Redefine How Radio Ratings Are Measured?

Ed has touched on using AI methods that do not require personal interviews, diaries or meters and which would cost a fraction of what current methods do. A good read from a well-versed ratings expert and member of the MRC.

Interesting. My problem is with "synthetic data." It's hard to draw conclusions from synthetic people. But sure, for pure numbers, I get it.
The idea is to use a smaller sample as a basis and then project it.

Xperi, with the DTS AutoStage product, uses a pure in-car sample and projects it.

In either case, it seems better in an era of little or no cooperation for meters and diaries where those that do sign up are no longer representative of the population as a whole.

It's evident that the way ratings are measured needs to be changed. The big question would be how you extract demographics from the raw data. Who's riding in the car? Is listening active or passive? Some of that can be extracted from streaming data, but what about OTA?
