That's top 40 radio. With 50 songs in rotation you're bound to hear something familiar or your favorites when tuning in even if only for 10 minutes. Z100's playlist is bigger but it's far from broad.
Seriously, though - according to YES, they only play 50 songs. EVER. Other CHR I quickly pulled up (KIIS, KHKS, Z100, Amp, Q100) play 100+ songs (YES lists the 100 most played). For 92.3Now, there are only 50 songs, so presumably those are the only songs they have played in the last (week? not sure what timeframe the list represents).
That's crazy. (Unless I am missing something re the way 92.3Now is represented on yes.com - if so, just let me know)
It amazes me sometimes how just how wrong huge companies can go in the #1 market. It's like they are so scared of failing, they never chance winning.
