Now 92.3's Ratings - A Bad Start

That's top 40 radio. With 50 songs in rotation you're bound to hear something familiar or your favorites when tuning in even if only for 10 minutes. Z100's playlist is bigger but it's far from broad.

Seriously, though - according to YES, they only play 50 songs. EVER. Other CHR I quickly pulled up (KIIS, KHKS, Z100, Amp, Q100) play 100+ songs (YES lists the 100 most played). For 92.3Now, there are only 50 songs, so presumably those are the only songs they have played in the last (week? not sure what timeframe the list represents).

That's crazy. (Unless I am missing something re the way 92.3Now is represented on yes.com - if so, just let me know)

It amazes me sometimes how just how wrong huge companies can go in the #1 market. It's like they are so scared of failing, they never chance winning.

Yes, but in WABC's 14th year of being CHR , they only played 14 currents and a few pick hits. DUH - Didn't hurt them in 1974!

In 1974 there were few other choices. Not the case today.
 
I had a few old college freinds that listen to top 40 visit me over the weekend, No Ipod, No cds... Just radio I wanted to see what they would put on not being radio nuts like I am. We listened to 106.1 WBLI the most followed by Z100 and 92.3 got the least airplay.this was over a period of 6 hours on and off. Biggest complaint which led to the radio down or off many times, UGGH I am sick of hearing this song.. there were many CHR hits that we heard for the 9th time that day. q 104.3 did get a 2 songs of airplay. I wish I remembered which 2.
