They are in Cume mode...likley when you tune in you will hear the "Hits". Buuuttt it is a bit tight. Loosen it up and show some diversity, show us what you will be when the new radio station smell goes away. I can see keeping it that tight for a few days...Now, loosen it up or loose it.

the old 77WABC ,in the 70s, had a super hit survey of 14 records,and two or three more title, in rotation, and theyruled the airwaves for most of the decade(BUT there were hardly any other 'profile' choices to choose fromback then, no MTV, no internet, no nothing...times have changed
BUT...in the nght clubs, every weekend, people keep asking for the same 8 or 9 tunes all night long, even if they were played only an hour ago, so it seems some things will never change

Lalumia, let me ask you this about the old WABC - did they just play currents or did they also have quite a few Recurrents and older titles in the mix? How big was the library? How long did songs stay in their Top 10/Top 14 survey? Weren't Top 40 playlists back then different from week to week (unlike today where some stations carry the same Top 10 playlist for 1-3 months)?
the old WABC Suveys(which I collected and still have) were as exciting as watching paint dry;
a new record getting added was a major event, the same hits week after week, for what seemed like all eternity(but we listened cos it was WABC!!!, home of the hits!),with some recurrents, or 'new gold' as it was called at the time;
now this was early to mid 70s we're talking here, all helen reddy and charlie rich, michael jackson and donny osmond, until the early disco records(barry white,rock your baby, rockin chair, rock the boat, etc)started to pick up the tempo a bit;
songs stayed in the top 10/14 for at least two,sometimes close to three months from first appearance to final exit; some records stayed in the #1 spot for 4, 5 or 6 weeks alone, and then would begin a slow descent;
I'll dig them out during the week and post some examples
