Exactly. So don't expect anything to change and for these owners to suddenly see the clear path. They are the radio equivalents of slum landlords!
 
All News 106.7 in Atlanta (Cumulus) is now running about nine hours of infomercials on Saturday and Sunday mornings. It is rumored that is the reason the program director Marshal Adams left.
 
Can you imagine WTOP, WCBS or WINS running infomercials? Very bad move for WYAY. One great thing about all news stations is when you want news you can tune in any time day or night and you'll get news..with the exception of stations like WBZ, KRLD and a few others that run all news during the daytime hours and only Monday through Friday. If you are promoting "all news all the time"it would be nice to actually have that service anytime you tune the station in.

All news 106.7 is diluting their product with those infomercials. Yeah, it brings in the $$$$, but it ruins the very nature of all news radio. It's bad enough on talk stations, and now that crap is on all news stations, as well. Hopefully, this will not start a trend.

Agreed. A good example was a big sporting event on a Sunday morning recently. On the way to church there were traffic issues. All News 106.7 in Atlanta was in infomercials. I had to tune in to a music station to get traffic coverage. That is not the reputation an all news station wants. The joke on the Atlanta boards is Mostly News 106.7 because of the infomercials and carrying Ga. Tech football and basketball games.

As has been stated before numerous times over CBS has the benefit of owning BOTH NYC All-News stations, and WINS outranks WCBS.

You keep saying that. I don't expect anything to change. Simply pointing out what I think is a big part of the problem.
