X is playing the Shakira Lil Wayne collaboration.They're also playing the Alejandro Sanz/Alicia Keys song. X has been all over "Mi cama huele a ti" which is the only official follow up Tito has had from Patron.Also heavy on their list "Que tengo hacer" the DY version and the remix with Omega, "Su Veneno" Aventura and the latest from Bachata Heightz. All currrent on the Latin charts.

What sets X apart from Mega currentlyis their willingness to play the latest from Jay Z/BEP/Pitbull/David Guetta/Akon. I even heard Bob Sinclair. Keep in mind this is a Spanish CHR.

Any national chart is irrelevant in NY as it is over 70% based on the US Southwest.

I haven't heard Shakira once, who is on FIRE right now.

She's d-e-a-d right now. Loba stiffed, and they issued the follow up single faster than any release in her entire career going back, internationally, to about 1994! She's not selling, and she's abandoned her Latin fan base. Stick a fork in it... it's done.

Their late and miss the boat on EVERY SINGLE song.

The things like Bachata Heightz are very current and new.

Get with the program people, Stick to television with chicks in mini skirts and fake titties to get you ratings.

Radio is a separate entity, run almost 100% by the HBC crew, as always.

I'm not saying it's my favorite song but I like that she's taking things in a more strident direction without radically changing her musical style. And it's an OK song with some bass thumping sound.

Funny, they said the same thing about Mariah Carey when one of her albums flopped. :

I am very Happy WCBSFM is doing Well, I am so glad they came back and I knew in my Heart they would do well!! I NEVER gave up on them!!

CBS-FM does well consistently because they play the music that their listeners want to hear...which in this case is a huge variety of hits spanning nearly four decades, great weekend specials and knowledgable on-air talent. Bring on the Artists A to Z this Thanksgiving week!!

the only good thing there was " el pacha" but david hates him like crazy! el pacha had better numbers than luis jimenez" 5 millions" ...el pacha was getting less than 200 thousand dollars! he was making david gleason look like a loser and he got rid of him! true hurts david!

la mega sucks at originality, la equis says "el bronx/manhattan esta marcado con la x" (bronx/manhattan is marked with an X), now la mega is saying NJ es territorio mega (NJ is mega's territory)...not only that, janeiro and joel are talking way less now and playing more music...I mean WTF, it seems they are truly chasing the new station now..Are they pressing the panic boton or what?

I wouldn't say La Mega is in panic mode, I think it's a way of flying under the radar of how much they truly were misprogramed. If they played their cards right, they would've acquisitioned El Pacha & Coco Cabrera as soon as they were free and then maybe X wouldn't have had such a big hit their first week.

X was succesful due to being music intensive since the launch thats why Mega cut back the talk on afternoon. That and their format includes the big chr rhythmic songs out now that attracts bilingual/English speaking Hispanics.

the question is, if la mega was misprogramed, why didn't they make those changes before? were they reluctant to change? they waited until univision made changes. Since la mega saw that it was working for univision and realized they were staying behind, then and only then, la mega decided to do something. the audience is not stupid, they can see who's chasing who now..

That's the only result I found for X's numbers which was for October 15-21. I don't see any numbers for October 22-28, or October 29-November 4.

The Inside Radio article was about the second week of X on the air (10/15 to 10/21). Remember, Arbitron "weeks" are Thursday to Wednesday, and the "Months" don't match calendar months. "November" is really the last two Arbitron weeks of October and the first two of November, not four weeks in November.

"November week 2" is actually 10/22 to 10/28... and that is the third week that X 96.3 has been on the air. No later data is yet released to subscribers.

they are not on wado!!! i tried listening on wado.com and some lady came on! hate and envy...thats what up!
