---Nice jump for WDAS
---WYSP trending up. Is that only because the Eagles are, well, half-good?
---WPEN-FM is up. Phillies on FM?
---Time to worry for WRFF and WRDW? WRFF down significantly recently from their high. They have mixed the music a little bit, but what else can they do? WRDW? They're not starting to get thumped by WIOQ and their 8+ hours of syndication.
---WPHI- I don't follow the station, but how long can they scrape the bottom. I'm sure R-1 has no other ideas/plans, but still.

Yeah, I know. 6+ doesn't mean anything, but it's fun to speculate :)

Are you speculating that the entire 1+ gap between 102 and 96.5 is due to Q102 having more listeners between the ages of 6 and 17? It would be great to discuss the demo numbers, but we don't have them.

Impressive jump for WDAS and KYW. Precipitous fall for WOGL.

Nice up-tick for WPEN, both the FM and the AM up to a respectable combined 2.9. WIP has a 4.1.

WIP web stream made the ratings with a 0.2.

Many of the talk stations are experiencing uptrends, from WPHT to WABC(!).

And am I the first one to point out that B101 is not number one after 1 3/4 years at the top? I guess they'll have to update those song tags of theirs...

And how on Earth did the now-defunct WNUW make the list?

Well today there's a major announcement on 100.3 at 5pm....my guess goldengirl will be joining the team...how do you all think thats gonna work out....

or that star and bucwild are joining the beat

The hip-hop stations are all starting their decline (much like in other markets).

Hip-hop simply isn't that hot anymore and there isn't a lot of new material. If this continues, look for Wired to start adding more pop/dance that is popular on Q. I don't expect 100.3 The Beat to ever change, quite honestly. Radio One is perfectly happy with poor performing stations as long as it targets their audience.

well they are adding Star n Buck Wild next Mon 6a-10a..how do yall think this will wrk for there station....100.3..post up

The Yankee hat is a nice first impression for Philly. :)

"The Yankee hat is a nice first impression for Philly..."

Why the need to be so provincial-sounding? There are plenty of Yankee fans in Philly. I'm not one of them, but I know MANY folks who are. It's a big, beautiful country out there, Philly is just part of it.

I'm not even originally from Philly, nor am I a Phillies fan. I'm actually from NY and I'm a Mets fan, though I live in Philly now. But:

It's a local show, no?

The Phillies lost to the Yankees in the Series last year, no?

Not sure if it's entirely a local show or syndicated, and yes, the Yankees beat the Phillies in the 2009 World Series, so what? Still doesn't mean an entertainer appearing in the Philly market can't wear a Yankee hat and not take grief for it. I simply don't buy that argument. Again, folks in Philly stop being so provincial for once. It's a big, beautiful country out there and Philly is simply part of it. If the show is entertaining, great. If not, no one will listen. Wearing a Yankee hat or not is immaterial.

Can you imagine, if he'd worn a Dallas Cowboys hat? My question is, if the situation had been reversed and the Phillies had beaten NY and he was in NYC wearing a Phillies hat, would New Yorker's look the other way?

I'm not from Philly, but every place has home town pride. We in Wilmington are proud of our minor league team the Wilmington Blue Rocks, our U of D football team the fightin' Blue Hens. We also have split loyalties to the Phillies, Orioles, Eagles, Ravens, as we're located between both Philly and Baltimore; some even are loyal to the Redskins. I know of guy from NYC who now lives in Philly and wears his Yankee's hat proudly as he still considers NYC his home town. So I can understand why the Philly fans also would have home town loyalty. That's not being provincial, it's just being proud of your home town. Another friend recently moved to Atlanta from Philly, and another moved from Wilmington to Portland Oregon. Both wear their Eagles shirts and hats to show their hometown Philly pride. Philly fans, no matter where they live, take their sports seriously, nothing wrong with that.

MikefromDelaware you completely missed my point. Of course it's great that folks have hometown pride in their teams, nothing wrong with that, and nothing wrong that they take that hometown pride with them when they move around the country. My point is it should be just as acceptable that even if you grew up in one place, that you can decide that there are teams you prefer that are not in your hometown or region. Aren't there sports fans born and raised in Delaware who like the Pittsburgh Steelers, for example? It shouldn't matter if you live in Detroit and like Dallas teams, or you live in North Carolina and like Miami teams, or gosh forbid you live in Philadelphia and like a non-Philadelphia teams. There is nothing wrong with that but in Philly it doesn't seem that it's acceptable in the minds of sports fans if you choose to root for a non-Philly team, and that is simply silly. There are a lot of sports fans in Philadelphia who ARE NOT Philadelphia sports fans, they just happen to live there for whatever reason. Now do you get my drift?

All quite true. But, in all fairness, Philly is hardly alone in having some home-town fans knock on fans from elsewhere. Does anyone really think Browns fans don't get chided in Pittsburgh, for example?

Many people couldn't care less about someone's "out of town" fandom. But they don't feel any need to chime in on the matter. That hardly means the ones who do have something to say about it really represent the views of the public as a whole.

Ary you kidding me? Have you ever listened to WIP? Philly is not aware that anything else is out there when it comes to sports. Even WFAN realizes that there are sports outside of NYC.
