I noticed on radio locator that K245CD 96.9 recently got a construction permit that would raise power to 250 watts from the current 160 watts but would point the signal north covering mostly Rio Rancho and the Indian resevations but weakening the signal in most of Albuquerque. But there is another permit for K292FW Taos to move to Tijeras and broadcast on 96.7. However the map here shows that the 250 watt signal would cover a mostly unpopulated area at Kirtland air force base. https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/patg?id=K292FW-FX&s=C It would not really reach anyone and it does not even cover its' city of license. It would also be airing KOAZ which already has a good signal on 103.7. Why would KOAZ even need a second tranlator?
Additionally K298BY 107.5 also has a permit which would point the signal more to the south which might help listeners in some areas but might also remove it from Rio Rancho. There would be no power changes which is currently at 55 watts.
