OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

In some ways, its a good thing that Philly finally has a 24/7 Spanish station with a clear signal across the whole area.

Last I checked the great thing about America was it was accepting of all people. I missed the memo I guess where we don't accept minorities any more.

Silly me.
Did I miss the memo when America started to accept all people?

I agree.

Yeah it's written on that big tall chick standing in the harbor in New York, something about huddled masses or something.

I'm sure Irishfl's ancestors didn't miss it when THEY came to America.

I agree with Julius. It's not my thing, but there seems to be a need.

Anyway won't CC run it as cheap as possible with voice tracking from other locations? IMO, this will be its downfall. If WIP teaches us anything is Philadelphians are very Philly-centric.

Thankfully I have XM.

Hahahaha, but seriously.

5% hispanic, that might be on paper but its higher than that. Guaranteed not all are legal citizens but latin music is becoming the most popular music genre in the country. Reggaeton has exploded onto the scene. This board has become black and white. Clear Channel felt it could make some money on this demo, more power to them. If you dont like it change the dial or get some investors and buy the station from CC

Sure many are undocumented (which is the PC term), but do they count? lets say half are undocumented, making this market really 10%. If they're undocumented, then arbitron doesn't have them in the stats, so when a hispanic person notes he listened to 104.5, it represents (lets say 100 people to make it easy) legal hispanics listening, whereas if all 10% was legal it would represent 200. Ofcoarse the whole thing is flawed anyway. All you need is a few hundred of the right people listening, for the station to get great ratings.

Mr. SHrACKKK,

You need to stop taking these community college courses in center city. The statue of Liberty represents the (legal immigrants), the much needed immigrants which were needed too work with the system. Not work or work against the system. Your brain has been fried by the lesbian and transexual professors that stupified your brain.
When one day you actually want that radio job (or any job) in that major market high in the sky, and in small print: must be bi-lingual. Don't cry to this board that you been screwed what you qualified for. You get what your beliefs are. You'll be Ross the Intern forever.

Funny story about Mr. SCRHack...

Last year at about this time we were discussing Kayne West. Most of the board was trashing the steady flow of rap on the radio when Mr. SCRHack said that "we should listen to what Kayne has to say."

The following week Kayne (in his infinite wisdom) said, "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

We did as Mr. SCRHack asked, and Kaynes' ignorance spoke volumes.

We should listen to what this rapper says? His music stinks. I think the music industry has propagandize on putting up this loud mouth limited talented so -called rapper just to spew his blames on presidents, and other political agendas. But no blame to FEMA. The transexual operations the money was spent on was more important to black people that actually needed it. But no comment from him on that. Just blame 'ole Texan Mr. Bush. You noticed you haven't heard his music on the airwaves lately. Goldigger, what piece of crap, and Mr. SCHMuck what call it a gem if you asked his opinion.
I run a steady and growing mostly Classic R&B internet radio station that has talent and has been victimize by being replace by these crotch holding thugs that can't sing, hold a note, or write a song. And the lyrics, there so meaningful and intelligent.

The solution to no local content on radio: XM. Ah, the genius of satellite radio.
