In some ways, its a good thing that Philly finally has a 24/7 Spanish station with a clear signal across the whole area.
Did I miss the memo when America started to accept all people?Hack said:Last I checked the great thing about America was it was accepting of all people. I missed the memo I guess where we don't accept minorities any more.
Silly me.
I agree.Julius May said:In some ways, its a good thing that Philly finally has a 24/7 Spanish station with a clear signal across the whole area.

Yeah it's written on that big tall chick standing in the harbor in New York, something about huddled masses or something.
Hahahaha, but seriously.Hack said:Did I miss the memo when America started to accept all people?

Sure many are undocumented (which is the PC term), but do they count? lets say half are undocumented, making this market really 10%. If they're undocumented, then arbitron doesn't have them in the stats, so when a hispanic person notes he listened to 104.5, it represents (lets say 100 people to make it easy) legal hispanics listening, whereas if all 10% was legal it would represent 200. Ofcoarse the whole thing is flawed anyway. All you need is a few hundred of the right people listening, for the station to get great ratings.Dancerev889 said:5% hispanic, that might be on paper but its higher than that. Guaranteed not all are legal citizens but latin music is becoming the most popular music genre in the country. Reggaeton has exploded onto the scene. This board has become black and white. Clear Channel felt it could make some money on this demo, more power to them. If you dont like it change the dial or get some investors and buy the station from CC
