"Old" Nassau station 102.3 Concord,NH

It could be for testing/adjusting the processing, or just to keep the license alive without tipping their hand as to format...they were getting close to the magic 1 year mark.
I'd like to know where they got that music from...maybe old Muzak tapes?
This morning in a 30 minute span I heard renditions of Eminem's Lose Youself, C,S,N&Y's Our House and Offsprings' Self Esteem. A bizarre mix of music!

The Wikipedia entry on the Vitamin string quartet claims that have released 246 albums. Seems hard to believe they'd sell enough to keep churning them out like that.

102.3 would have been better served by going back to //1450 as WKXL-FM...More community oriented...and a better signal than the TX at 103.9

Why? They are no longer co-owned. What possible benefit to 102.3 would there be?

I guess I meant before the current ownership took over....I suppose there are actually a few formats that 102.3 could run that are not well served in the Concord-Lakes Region area..

Their signal just isn't that great, especially in and south of Manchester. Is there room for them to increase power?
I think they are close to 102.5 Waltham, but they are not limited by 102.1 Portsmouth.

last i8 Heard...they were playing old school instrumental covers of rock/pop tunes. not classical.

How about either Smooth Jazz or AAA like 93.5 WMWV Conway. Smooth Jazz is inexpensive to operate, and AAA would work well in Concord.
I've had enough of the Vitamin String Quartet, please -- somebody -- do something!

AAA? Hmmm. The latte and NHPR set likes it, which is pretty attractive to advertisers.
But you'd be in the River's back yard, and the only way to compete is to be local...and that's expensive.

It might look good on paper, but the latte and public radio set also are less easily swayed by advertising (unless you're Whole Foods or you have some sort of green or organic goods to sell), thus making them a less attractive demo in spite of their higher income. Much of this set is now on either Pandora, Spotify or satellite, and they ain't comin' back. When's the last time you heard about a new AAA hitting the air, even here in progressive New England?
