Old Products

It is interesting to note from reading this thread that manufacturers of certain products have made the conscious decision to market certain products that they manufacture or distribute in only certain parts or regions of the country. Maybe certain products wouldn't (or didn't) do well in certain regions of the country.

Radio, meanwhile, seems to think that everyone across the country has exactly the same homogeneous tastes, and tries to market the exact same (bland!) product to us, no matter what part of the country we may live in! ::)

I have truly been enjoying this thread. Awhile ago I was in the gorcery store, and the thought hit me to look for a can of Campbells hot dogs & beans. I remember having them as a kid. I could find all the Campbell's beans I wanted, but no beans & weenies. Do they still make them?

Didn't find you any beanees or weenees at Campbell's site, but Van Camp's (now owned by ConAgra) still makes them, in several varieties.
I did notice that, yet you can find Campbell's pork & beans on the shelves at the store. Must be they're ashamed of the product! :) I did however find Spaghetti-O's with little hot dogs..{no thanks!} What is this world coming to anyway??

Spaghetti-O's with hot dogs were around 40 years ago. And to reference the soft drink discussion of page 12, when did they 86 Carbonated Gatorade?
