Oldies 103 and 105.7 WROR IT'S TOO FREAKIN EARLY!!!!!!

Are they kidding????? November 6? What next? Halloween? Will we have kids in Santa costumes? Also in Providence, B101 has gone all Christmas, leaving oldies and classis hits fans without an FM station, since Oldies 103 and 105.7 WROR have also made the switch. At least in Boston, you have North Shore 104.9 and in Providence there is still True Oldies 790 and also 88.1 WELH which plays oldies and classic hits during the week at 1pm.

It was Nov. 10th last year. You see the trend is earlier each year.(so-called) 'Holiday' Classics will be before Halloween in a couple of years. It is insulting to one's intelligence.I take it off my presets for 2 months now.You can find the true(nothing by Celine Dion,Whitney Houston,Britney Spears,Justin Timberlake,Madonna, etc.) Classics on other stations 2 weeks before XMas-when you actually start to get in the spirit!!

If you're in the Worcester area especially south of the city, you can tune into Oldies 98.9 WORC-FM for your fix of oldies.

get over it and enjoy BOSTON'S HOLIDAY MUSIC STATION OLDIES 103.3, and BOSTON'S FAVORITE CHRISTMAS SONGS 105.7 WROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will tune in maybe a couple of times a day, some days, just to see what's playing, until Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, when I can enjoy hearing it more often. cbf8989 I am guessing you are one of the people that will be dressed as Santa next Halloween. ;D

Yes, we are live my friend. I've a 5 hour shift, and loving it, and have been the past five years of it.

And you can also tune into 100FM The Pike for your classic hits while out towards Worcester which is where I live and which is the station I discovered while tuning out Christmas tunes a year ago and which is the station I still mostly listen to now.

WODS had Norm Thibeault on tonight? Haven't heard him for quite the while. You think it'll be Nightshift by Committee for the next 2 months, using the weekenders and fillins assuming they've dumped Tom Kent until December 26th?

It is so cuuuuteeee. When you all get a free moment, check out Paul Perry on WROR 105.7 weekdays 3pm-7pm. He has a segment, children get to call and talk to "Santa Clause" It is soooooo cuuute. You must check it out for yourself.

Anyone that knows what Paul Perry sounds like (most kids don't), knows it's him doing the voice. :) It is nice that he does that for the kids.

Now does this mean that we will not be hearing the Brian Wilson interview on the lost 45's now? :(

Nah, it should still be on. Barry is still advertising it on Lost45.com as Sunday night on Oldies. Usually, once they flip, Oldies 103 will keep the specialty shows going until the last 2 or 3 weeks of the year so Barry ought to be good for another month or so.

However, since I'm not listening to Oldies now since the flip, I don't really know for sure if they kept to regular specialty programming and if they still had Mighty Mike and the 70s show tonight. The website says that Wolfman Jack is on now as usual.

@Retro, if you live in Providence area, if you like this music, I urge you to check out 1450am, and 1340am. They are an affilate of ABC Radio Network 24 Hour Network called "Timeless Favorites" They play soft rock from 1960s, 70s, 80s, and early 90s. It's niiiceee

Hey, thanks LAUROJRM, I am actually just Northeast of Downtown Boston, however maybe my FM receiver could still pick those stations up. BTW, was that the same format that WESX/WJDA was, or was that a seperate but similar feed instead?

You have to live very close to West Warwick, RI or New Bedford, MA to truly appreciate those stations, because the signals are so weak, just 1000 watts.  If you are driving and you are more than a few miles away, count on hearing a lot of static.
