BTW, my review of The Loop's processing is what I heard prior to 2/17 (Friday), the day HHH says two new Omnia 11's went/were on the air in Chicago. Even though I was driving in the area Friday the 17th, I don't think I had The Loop punched up for very long. And if I did, I wasn't critically listening to them that day. I was more focused in on WXRT, since they to me sounded very different, from even the day before. Since I am a pretty heavy listener of WXRT, I'd swear I notice when they make small processing tweaks. My ears that day were telling me they sounded a bit more compressed, and the on-air mic sounded very different to what it has been sounding like lately. I would also have to say that over the years WXRT has had some of the best audio I've ever heard anywhere on the FM dial (from a purist standpoint). That statement even dates all the way back to the 70's. They also have of thee best sounding internet audio streams too.
