On Air Jobs in Memphis

I heard the announcement today about Jarman. I thought he would be great at night. I never thought about the Jar doing middays. Wonder what that will be like? Oh and speaking of middays, I heard a woman on KIM doing middays today I thought she sounded pretty good. I never caught her name though, does anybody know who she is?

that would be Deb Dockery, nice to hear her again in Memphis! although I've heard her do a remote for KIM, I hadn't heard her on air til now.
seems Citadel is staffing up all over.
;D

Thanks for the info. I aont't remember Deb Dockery but she sounded good. Can you tell me who she is?

Deb was with KIX for a while...she's a real Memphis radio vet. Congratulations Deb!!!!!

Lurker & LBR...Thanks for the props!!! It feels really good to be back in the "fish bowl", as it were. Especially when followed by Tom. Does it get any better than Presto? I don't think so! ;)

I'm still a country girl, but as you can see by my new board name, I'm loving my role on Kim. Who says you can't teach an old dog...well, a middle aged dog....new tricks!

Thanks again for the support. Having lots of fun. And bottom line, isn't that what it's all about?

DD

P.S. Michelle....good luck with your career. It is fun. Even after 20 years. I'm still having fun!

... and I am sure, 6, that you tell folks you owe it all to your attorney, right? :)

Have one of the best mouth pieces in town! ;D

Been to Buckley's lately? Highly recommend their chicken penne pasta with the cream sauce! And you must have their spinach...to die for! ;)

Give the wife & kids my best.

It is a good thing that Citadel is staffing their stations.

Except for Tom and D&Z, all of their choices fall in the "okay" range of talent.

I realize I am one of the few on this board that feels this way but the Jar-Man has no business being a talent with his own show. He always sounds like he barely knows where he is much less what he is playing.

Danni and Deb are both okay on-air. Neither one makes me want to change the channel but neither one of them has anything near compelling content.

D&Z are a shadow of their Rock 103 show but at least they attempt to do "a show".

Tom is always Tom, and that is a good thing.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

I think Jarman is fantastic on air- he's what would happen if your neighbor's kid got a radio show. Folks relate to Jarman. That's something that I think XMX has always lacked- personality. Jarman gives them that.

D&Z are well, D&Z...Drake has the bitter old man bit down pat...and Zeke is still good. I think the show did lose some comedic appeal when Marky B was let go, but that's radio for you.

I am one of the few people I guess that can enjoy Sknyrd followed by the Foo Fighters. I like a little variety...call me a weirdo.

I heard Jarman last week. Yes he definitely has personality and you never know what he's going to say. But I don't remember him talking so southern before. I still think Jarman is a better fit for nights. Speaking of nights on the Max I heard a guy named Foster last night. I read Bobby was going to do nights. So what's going on?

And that is his schtick.... if you have a general conversation with him off the air, he sounds pretty dog gone normal, but Lord help us all when the mic opens and the drawl is let loose!!! ;D

Seems they think they're lacking something too. 98.1 has posted for a news/sidekick for D&Z.

;D

There was a Foster at the rock station in Jonesboro until just recently - I wonder if that's him.
