Could have been a lot of things. But, my best guess is KJOJ-FM in Freeport, Tx -- a little west of Houston.

Not surprised about Tampa/Orlando. The mapping I had seen showed that blanketing the Gulf. I know someone in Pensacola that was getting Veracruz, Mexico on his car radio at ~ 900 miles. 'Quite a duct.
As far as AM is concerned, no. AM is not impacted by what was going on. This is ducting in the troposphere, not "skip." Wavelengths on AM are way too long to make that work. If you were receiving long AM, another process was at work.
Most of this is over, but Gulf tropo can last for days. If you pay attention, you might get a little more.
