Also, The Bill Bush Show is no more on KTFM.

woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

I say, this is a good move on KTFM. They need someone younger, presentable and someone thats able to relate to the target demos of 18-34.

So they are looking for afternoons and nights? what happened to robin?

That is awesome news. Sounds like a total night and day transformation at KTFM right now for the better. I'm loving the throwbacks!

I was listening yesterday and the fill-in guy said Robin was off, 'probably enjoying Fiesta.' So he's still there in some capacity ...

From mysa.com-

In the world of radio, longtime San Antonio air personality Robin Flores will be exiting KTFM (94.1 FM) as soon as the station finds a replacement.

Meanwhile, fans of the likable Flores no doubt will find him on a new station before too long as KTFM is waiving his noncompete commitment

What new station?

You know, that was really cool of Landis to wave his non-compete. That way he has a shot to land at another SA station. This is a business and it seemed as if the two split ways respectfully. I just wish every radio company was just as lenient. Maaaaaaybe we will see Flores end up on X106.7? It is possible since they will eventually look for jocks on that station. I think Cox should, he would be a great pickup.

I don't see why not. X1067 is about to round up their 10,000 songs right? What happens after that? No one knows, so it is possible they will jock that station.

KTFM has already hired a replacement for Flores. heard it from a friend of a friend of the new guy. also look for changes in mornings and mid day soon on KTFM.

It's good to hear KTFM will soon have a new airstaff with hopefully a better connection with the community. Until then, KTFM should remove The Woody Morning Show and just play the music.

The more important question to me is....

Who is consulting KTFM for the bank that holds the property?

Also...

Does the bank still hold the property or did a new broadcaster purchase KTFM and KTSA?

Nobody is "consulting the bank" on programming. The lenders put in Larry Patrick as Trustee, and anyone involved with programming strategy would work with the Trustee.

No "bank" owns the stations. The owner is Border Media Business Trust, a consortium of the lenders.

My point is still the same...bmp is at the will of the trustees/lenders/bank.

Thanks Eduardo.

Considering BMP recently purchased a couple of AM stations in Austin so I can't imagine this company is hurting as much as they say they are.
