Well, here in Cleveland Rover and his "morning glory" were all over MSNBC, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the local rags and the 19 Action News several times - their "fake" cat tied to a balloon stunt, when one of the co-hosts stuck his tongue on a bug zapper, etc. As someone that is in radio and hosts a show, trust me when I tell you that coersion for attention happens.
As far as this most recent thing goes, you are misinformed a bit. News organizations reported on it. The governor made a comment about something he heard, but didn't do anything at all except make a comment. The Police Department did NOTHING - not even arrest the person that sounded the horn. Bottom line - the boys made a lot of noise, and the media acted like the lame sheep they are and reported on it. Word got to the governor, who did nothing about it at all except answered a question he was asked - probably "What do you think about a reporter being assaulted by an opie and anthony fan?"
Stop believing everything you hear!
