Oprah Signs XM Deal

Re: Weather/Traffic

I'm 45 and I travel a lot by car, including to several XM traffic and weather cities. And I don't really care if they stay. I can always get weather on terrestrial radio; in many of the covered cities, better traffic info is available every 10 minutes 24/7 on a terrestrial all-news station; and in almost all the others, it's available on a local station at least in rush hours (and often all day weekdays). This is one area where terrestrial radio does it better (and for several reasons, is better suited to the task).

(However, I do understand the deals XM has made for tranmsmission of traffic data for Garmin units.)
